Sweet as pastry

Though I do find myself impeccably sweet, I am referring more by this title to the opportunity to spend half a year abroad. Denmark is an incredible place filled with great opportunity and inspiring innovation. I cannot comprehend yet how lucky I am to spend the next six months working alongside the best, sightseeing Europe, and exploring a whole new country, language and culture. But that's not to say it won't come without its challenges. I'm happy to share this experience with all the people who have gotten me here through all their support. Keeping you updated is my reminder that I am never alone. And with that scared, nervous, excited feeling you start every trip with I'm happy to keep that in mind. With all of the unknown adventures, mishaps and experiences in front of me its a pretty big rush to see what's coming!

Alps Ski Trip

March 20. 2009-
On my little brother's 23!?! birthday (Happy B-day Mike!!) I left Germany and went to Innsbruck, Austria for a two day ski vacation. My trip really came together because Amy and I wanted to go to Poland together, my friend Stavros invited me to go skiing the following weekend, and Jon happened to be available the week in between. So here I left another friend and another country and headed across the German-Austria border into the Alps.
Innsbruck was surrounded by a wall of mountains, it was really incredible. (I actually couldn't stop taking pictures, I think I annoyed the guys.) This is downtown Innsbruck.
I met up with my friends Stavros and Teos that I know from Copenhagen. On Saturday we skied at Stubai Glacier about 30 minutes outside the city. This picture was taken from the bus on our way out of Innsbruck as we climbed up into the mountains.
The countryside which I always like best..
Then to the mountain!!
I just am obsessed with breath-taking mountains so there are a lot of pictures. Plus look at our day!! AND I hadn't been skiing all season. I was so upset about that once I got out there :( but I guess a day skiing in the Alps can make up for it.
My killer video, I was so excited:D

And back to Innsbruck where the sun was still out.
